Re:fiction Radio in cooperation with Borderline Lesvos gave a presentation to the ASFhub and our participating projects, which we share with you here. The presentation covered political and practical developments with the EU's external borders and the Lesvos refugee camp in particular. Several people on this team are also personally affected by border policies and the Lesvos camp itself, either having recently left or still being required to stay there. They shared their stories and experiences with us, in addition to the work that they do, documenting and challenging the camp’s existence and representation through artistic, political and journalistic means.
You can read their PowerPoint presentation here:https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1MALD95SFBqB2dpLvkWF-CvIDdqlYMfvgUWujLlV8p48/edit?usp=sharing
And read more about the work of the welcome office in Lesbos here: www.borderlinelesvos.org
Additionally, the team asked us to share the many new facts that have come to light since their presentation.
