The ASF hub enables and supports new possibilities of collaborations between society, science and art. Thus, solutions with high social relevance and effectiveness shall be developed in order to advance the sustainable transformation of society.
Fostering societal awareness for sustainable development
Enabling possibilities for action through the participation of civil society representatives within projects
Supporting inter- and transdisciplinary collaborations between civil society, science and arts
Developing impact criteria for participatory scientific and artistic research
Increasing democracy through offering possibilities for participation while considering diversity within society
In a two-stage selection process, a transdisciplinary committee selected 6 key projects, which are located at the interface between society, science and art and will focus, from a variety of perspectives, on sustainability in the sense of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. The ASF hub will support and accompany these key projects financially and in terms of content until the end of 2023. Project proposals could be submitted until 30th of September, 2021. The complete call for proposals can be found here.
All projects work participatory and involve different population groups, affected groups and stakeholders. New ways of involvement are also pursued: The implementation projects were initiated by social actors and are provided with artistic or scientific expertise as needed to ensure the quality of their research-led practice. In this way, committed citizens involve researchers and/or artists in the implementation of their ideas. More information on the projects can be found here.
